Lesley Boulton was an active member of Women Against Pit Closures during the 1984 Miners strike. She was the subject of an iconic photograph (top right) taken at the Orgreave mass picket in 1984. She talks about events leading up to the day, the day itself and the aftermath.
In the audio clip Lesley talks about the moment the police charged leading to the taking of the photograph by John Harris.
