Gladys Cross and colleague during the war yearsGladys Cross: Sylvia Glover's mother, Gladys Cross, travelled each day from Barnsley to work at the ICI chemical works in Huddersfield.

Sylvia describes the long days her mother worked. When not working, or spending time with Sylvia, Gladys played piano in the Spotted Leopard public house in Barnsley.

Sylvia Glover was interviewed by Margaret Thompson on 12th March 2009.
