Gladys Cross: Sylvia Glover's mother, Gladys Cross, travelled each day from Barnsley to work at the ICI chemical works in Huddersfield.
Sylvia describes the long days her mother worked. When not working, or spending time with Sylvia, Gladys played piano in the Spotted Leopard public house in Barnsley.
